Annie Jorgensen – Host

Annie has worked at GV Hospice for 8 years, taking on the role of Clinical Manager & Quality Coordinator almost 4 years ago, having previously worked in the Medical Ward at GV Health. Annie has completed a post graduate Diploma in Palliative Care and is a Clinical Nurse Consultant and was awarded Palliative Care Australia’s National Emerging Leader Award in 2023.   

Annie is an outstanding clinical leader, combining excellent clinical expertise with compassionate, person-centred practice. Annie oversees the multidisciplinary teams at GV Hospice; her leadership driving innovation and service excellence, ensuring care is delivered with empathy, respect, and care.

Dr Chik Chua – Guest

Dr Chik Chua is a General Practitioner at Lister House Medical Centre since 2011, providing family-centred care that spans generations.  

Initially focused on acute paediatric care, Dr Chua has expanded his practice to family medicine, building long-term relationships with patients, from newborns to great-grandparents.  In recent years, Dr Chua has developed a growing interest in aged care and palliative care, reflecting his commitment to whole-of-life healthcare.  

Together with his wife, Dr Lang Lang Yii, also a GP at Lister House, he shares a vision of providing comprehensive, compassionate care to the Shepparton community. Originally planning to stay for only a year, they soon realised the region offered everything they were looking for—both professionally and personally.
