Registered Nurse – Community Palliative Care Specialist

  • Hours: 8.30am to 5pm, some on call (1 in 8 days and 1 in 8 weekends on average)

GV Hospice is a not-for-profit organization providing specialist community palliative care services throughout the Greater Shepparton region. We offer a free in-home service to people with life limiting illness and their carers to enhance quality of life. 

GV Hospice is looking for a compassionate and dynamic nurse with a passion to embrace specialist palliative care, to join our team. This role is located at our office on Balaclava Road with free on-site parking available.

Generous salary packaging to $15,900

Hours: 8.30am to 5pm, some on call (1 in 8 days and 1 in 8 weekends on average)

The Registered Nurse role will support the clinical team on a day-to-day basis, with a focus on supporting clients, staff and GPs in both community and local Residential Aged Care Facilities.

Key skills required include:

  • good organization skills and ability to prioritize workload
  • ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
  • initiative and problem-solving skills
  • be able to work autonomously in a team environment
  • willingness to undertake post-graduate studies in Palliative Care (funding available)
